Introducing Lick x Soho House. Together, we’ve created an edit of eight pigment-rich, mood-boosting paint colours inspired by iconic Soho Houses around the world, to help you transform your space in the style of the bespoke aesthetics seen throughout the houses. Bringing the House to your home, with colour.

Why have we joined forces?

As well as our shared passion for interiors, community is at the heart of everything we do at Lick, so teaming up with Soho House felt like the perfect fit. Combining our knowledge of all things colour with Soho House’s decades of design heritage, this collection of paint colours was created to inspire spaces that make you want to get together with friends or get cosy with loved ones. To transform rooms with an unmistakable heritage feel, urban buzz or a little rural calm. You pick the mood and the Lick x Soho House palette will provide the colour.

The inspiration behind the Lick x Soho House colour palette

The Houses, of course. When it comes to scouting a House location, Soho House’s number one criteria is a site of historical, local, or architectural significance. The result is a global portfolio of unparalleled cityscapes, centuries-old buildings, riverside views, and enviable coastal settings. And when it comes to choosing an interior colour scheme for the Houses, Candy Murray, Soho House’s Interior Style Manager, explains;

“When our designers start to think about colour they always look to the location for inspiration. We like to bring some of the outside environment into the interior spaces. Take the aqua blue walls in Brighton beach house which match the blue of Brighton’s beachfront railings, for example. Each house has its own identity, with a unique colour palette that flows through the whole interior. With these carefully curated paint colours from Lick we can now help our customers bring some of the mood and spirit of their favourite house into their own homes.”

With so many gorgeous Houses to choose from, it was no easy task to choose just eight. The Houses we’ve chosen capture the diverse and distinct personalities of Soho Houses from across the globe, inspiring us to curate a versatile palette of colours that will add style to any space. As Tash Bradley, our Director of Interior Design, says;

“The array of colours within this curated palette are individually comforting and inspiring, with each colour having its own personality, just as each Soho House has its own iconic style. Beige 02 Soho Farmhouse is wonderfully soft yet simultaneously makes you feel connected to the outdoors with its rustic edge, whilst Pink 13 Nashville House draws in light and evokes a lighthearted ‘country glam’ feel, reminiscent of Nashville’s musical heritage.”

The colour psychology behind the Lick x Soho House palette

From the warming Green 05 Rome House to the relaxing Greige 02 Soho Warehouse, the power of this palette lies in each colour having its own distinct characteristics and mood, whilst at the same time working harmoniously with every other colour in the palette. With the exception of cool Grey 08 Amsterdam House, all the colours have warming yellow undertones, giving them a really welcoming feel. But what really ties the colours of the palette together is the heavy black pigment used in all of them. This gives the colours a grounding quality, oozing sophistication and style. It means that whilst every colour has its own unique identity, you can confidently use all eight together for a cohesive look throughout your home, as Tash puts it;

“We carefully curated this palette to give people the confidence to either use all eight colours to create a harmonious colour story throughout their homes, or to pick and choose their favourite colours depending on the mood they want to evoke. Simply split the palette into two and you’ve got the perfect hues for a light and airy scheme or something more dark and moody.”

Meet the Soho House colours

Teal 03 76 Dean Street

If the walls of 76 Dean Street (one of Westminster’s oldest townhouses) could talk, we’d want to hear their tales. It was this sense of history that led us to the cocooning blend of blue and green behind Teal 03 76 Dean Street. From its creaking pine floorboards and crackling fires to the tinkling of drinks being shaken and stirred, this House has a time-tested heritage. Dark and moody yet instantly cosy and warming, Teal 03 76 Dean Street will bring that lived-in feel into your home.

Purple 03 DUMBO House

Overlooking New York’s East River, a visit to DUMBO House is to dive into New York's colourful artistic history when Brooklyn was the epicentre of the city’s creative community. To champion this, the House’s colour palette is rich, expressive, and unwaveringly bold. Much like Purple 03 DUMBO House. Dark and moody, its deep velvet hues are cosy and warming and can be paired with whites, taupes and pinks to lighten the look, or even black for a really dramatic look. Its blue and yellow undertones make this hue both mentally and physically stimulating, perfect for getting those creative juices flowing.

Pink 13 Nashville House

This dusky pink with muted grey undertones is a laid-back neutral with a rock ‘n’ roll twist. Inspired by Nashville’s musical heritage, this paint colour embodies the soul of Tennessee and will make your space’s interiors sing. Housed in a former sock factory, Pink 13 Nashville House’s warming hue is drawn from Soho House Nashville’s exposed brick walls. Just as with the House’s decor, it pairs perfectly with reclaimed woods, rustic metals, velvet soft furnishings, and vintage accessories. This pink is nurturing and cosy, whether you use it in a living room or bedroom, it will leave you feeling grounded and at peace.

Beige 02 Soho Farmhouse

Inspired by the Cotswolds’ yellow limestone, Beige 02 Soho Farmhouse mirrors Soho Farmhouse's rustic yet modern approach to rural life. An earthy, grounding hue drawn from nature, this buff brown combines yellow undertones with just a dash of grey to balance things out. The result is a warming neutral that will envelop you, leaving you with that cosy, cocooned feeling you get from visiting this iconic countryside retreat. What’s more, according to colour psychology, this colour will connect you to the outdoors and encourage moments of calm. So if you want to bring Soho Farmhouse’s relaxed vibe into your home, now you can with Beige 02 Soho Farmhouse.

Grey 08 Amsterdam House

A muted contrast to the warming tones of the rest of the palette, Grey 08 Amsterdam House is a charcoal grey with cooling undertones that echoes Soho House Amsterdam’s iconic brutalist architecture. Set in the 1930s Bungehuis building, the House’s interiors were inspired by Rembrandt’s work, filled with glazed ceramic tiles and marble-clad corridors. This dark and moody colour has surprisingly calm and relaxing qualities, perfect for embracing an already dark space.

Green 05 Rome House

Live la dolce vita with Green 05 Rome House. This olive green has golden yellow undertones that will leave you feeling energised and sunkissed. Rich and warm, this deep green gestures to the olive green car that was spotted during the early stages of the build and later used as a springboard for Rome House’s rich colour scheme. From the walls to the fabrics, the House’s interiors reflect the artsy San Lorenzo neighbourhood. Inside, stylish Italian terrazzo is paired with a bold colour palette that echoes the city’s vibrant tones — offering a contemporary take on an ancient city.

Taupe 03 Soho Roc House

Capturing Mykonos’ distinctive Cycladic architecture and rocky natural landscape, Taupe 03 Soho Roc House is a grounding neutral that features warming, earthy red undertones. It’s laid back —just like the house that inspired it—and the perfect light and airy neutral to bring a little boho chic style into your home. Pair this colour with natural woods, terracotta tiles, and plenty of natural textures and materials to channel that breezy coastal style at home.
